Our accredited Instructor Members are members of the Association of Mental Health First Aiders – a community dedicated to transforming how we talk about and support mental health in the workplace.

Our Mental Health First Aid 2 day course empowers MHFAiders to play a critical role in supporting people’s mental health and creating healthy working environments.
Our course is ideal for anyone who’d like to gain the knowledge and skills to spot the signs of someone experiencing poor mental health, be confident to start a conversation, and signpost them to appropriate support.
MHFAiders® receive three years of certification and are invited to join the Association of Mental Health First Aiders® – England’s first and only membership body for MHFAiders. As well as access to ongoing learning and expert support, members gain the benefits of being part of a national movement for better mental health.
This one day course trains you as an MHFA Champion, giving you:
An understanding of common mental health issues
Knowledge and confidence to advocate for mental health awareness
Ability to spot signs of mental ill health
Skills to support positive wellbeing
To create a mentally healthy, productive workplace, it’s vital to build supportive relationships between managers and team members.
When workplace leaders, managers, and colleagues have the right knowledge and tools, they can better support their team’s mental health.
This four-hour training course will provide a consistent approach to mental health and wellbeing, promoting healthy performance across the whole organisation.
This evidence-based course is ideal for people managers who want to help create an open culture around mental health and wellbeing in the workplace.




By attending the course, Mental Health First Aiders will renew their skills and update their knowledge of mental health supports. They’ll learn to:
- Recognise those who may be experiencing poor mental health and provide them with first-level support and early intervention
- Encourage a person to identify and access sources of professional help and other supports
- Practise active listening and empathy
- Have a conversation with improved mental health literacy around language and stigma
- Discuss the role in depth, including boundaries and confidentiality
- Practise self-care
- Know how to use the MHFAider Support App®
- Know how to access a dedicated text service provided by Shout and ongoing learning opportunities with MHFA England®
- Learn beyond the course through membership of the Association of Mental Health First Aiders
